What is the cost of the certification class?

The Online Class and the Hands-On Classes are different prices. Go to the dropdown menu of the CLASS page for the PAY CLASS DEPOSIT page.

Why is this certification class different or better than other classes?

This is the only class taught by an ASID member. The American Society of Interior Designers is the oldest and most respected interior design association in the world. It takes many years of experience and training to become a member.

Many other classes focus on decluttering and neutralizing. This is important but does not go far enough. We also teach key interior design principles that equip you to beautifully transform any home, in any style, in any condition.

Some classes teach mainly marketing and business strategies. We cover all that but our classes are more design-oriented.

Becky has been in leadership since 2010 in international home staging trade organizations. She is currently the Florida State President for RESA, the Real Estate Staging Association. She is continually adding updated material, as trends and methods change.

Do you have a staging business?

Yes!! Since 2004, we have been staging and designing interiors in North Florida and for 14 years before that, I was an ASID Interior Designer. We are in the trenches, every day, proving our methods with actual staging and redesign clients. Out website says, "We are the Chic Boutique of Home Staging Training. We are Lilly Pulitzer, not Macy's! Not the biggest but the most targeted, design-oriented training in the US. Who needs 100 forms when 25 will do. Ditch the Fluff and get the Nitty-Gritty of what matters most."

Are there different types of certifications?

Yes and No!! All classes get certified in professional level Staging and Redesign and get a beautiful badge but the in-person classes get an extra badge called Designer Staging Professionals. The online attendees can earn that badge by sending before and after pictures of staging or redesign results.

Is there follow-up after the class?

We are like family once you take one of our classes. You have my cell number. We have monthly continuing ed and we are updating our Facebook group - Home Staging & Home Styling - to stay connected.

What have you changed to protect your in-person students from Covid?

We meet at a beautiful Club Corp. property. This is Queens Harbour Yacht and CClub on the intracoastal waterway in Jacksonville Fl. They have stringent protocols in place and we meet in a larger space that allows social distancing. The meeting space is cleaned every day before we meet.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, for all our classes. After 2 days taking the class, contact us for a 100% refund, no questions asked!

If I bring in multiple students for the online class, can we get a discount?

Big YES! Just contact me for details.

Can realtors benefit from taking the staging class?

Big YES!!! Generally, they will double their number of listings and sell them 4 X faster! YES!

Do you have a low-cost option for vacant houses?

Yes, Soft Staging is very affordable, starting at $600. It stages the kitchen, baths, LR, DR with art, accessories, greenery. see example: https://www.houzz.com/projects/5258989/amelia-island-vacant-soft-staging

How long does it take to finish the Online Staging Class?

It depends, of course on the time you have available. Anywhere from 4 - 7 days to 2 weeks.

Are you accredited or approved by national staging associations?

Yes!!! We have been in leadership with RESA for 10 years, I was the 2019 Florida State President for RESA and one of only 8 approved training providers. Also, accredited by the IAHSP. Read more on the ABOUT page.

Do I need to have any previous decorating experience to succeed in this field?

No. Previous experience is not necessary. The students have come from all walks of life. This class will give you everything you need to succeed in this rapidly growing arena.

Will I need to buy a lot of furniture?

Absolutely not! You can lease furniture when you need it for vacant home staging. But, we teach both methods of staging, with and without staging furniture.

Can I make a living in this business?

Yes. Of course you can. But just like any home-based business, what you invest in time and effort will come back to you. If you work just 10 hours a week at $75. per hour, you can make $3,000 a month. Some of our graduates bring in 5 to $10,000 a week.

Aren't there already a lot of stagers out there?

I believe this industry has only just begun. I believe that in the near future, all homes everywhere will routinely be staged. There are 10,000. agents in our 4 county area.

With 8,000 listings, if only 3% of them are staged, we still do not have nearly enough stagers to fill the need.

We only have about 30 to 40 stagers in our area and only about 10 serious big staging businesses. All of these 10.000 agents need stagers as the industry grows. It will be many years before we have enough stagers to go around.

What is included in the class?

The class includes:

  • A continental breakfast and lunch each day. Hands-on redesign/stagings in two different homes for the 5-day class; one for the 3 day class. Approval to use the STIR logo. (see www.stir-us.com )Ongoing support. Certification in interior redesign and real estate staging for the 5-day class. Certification in real estate staging for the 3-day class.
