New Year, New Decade

Happy New Decade

I need your help!!! Some of you have been following for a long time; some are new. Some are graduates from our training; some are not. Whoever you are, I want to know more about you. We are updating and reevaluating everything. Our goal is to bring you the very best in designer/stager education.

1. Do you operate from a goal list?
2. What is your biggest challenge moving forward to accomplish your goals?
3. Are you a left brain or right brain learner? Analytical vs. Visual
4. Did you spend another year "all over the place" busy but not accomplishing much?
5. Did your income go up or down last year?
5. Would you join us for the free webinar to start your decade on the right foot?

If you are like me, there are some things on your list that didn't get done. We tend to do the easy tasks so we can cross them off the list. I read a great, small book by Brian Tracey a long time ago titled, Eat That Frog. The premise was if you have a difficult task, DO IT FIRST!!! That simple principle has moved the needle for me. I still find it difficult to do.

I am planning a LIVE webinar to discuss and teach ways to get things accomplished. I will list the books that made a huge difference in my life at the end of the post.

I wrote about vision boards in a post last year. I strongly believe that an image that represents your goal can be a constant reminder of your focus. It subliminally pushes your forward. If you are right brained, you must have one.

IF YOU CAN"T SEE IT, YOU CAN"T BE IT!!
WHEN THE VISION IS CLEAR, THE RESULTS WILL APPEAR!!

Here is a partial shot of my current board, which represents my goals and aspirations for the future. A few of the things on my list are:
1. Travel more
2. Kayak and bike in beautiful places
3. Write a new blog with a spiritual focus
4. Write 2 books, business & personal
5. Read more
6.See all Florida and south Georgia parks
7. Learn to cook healthy meals
8. Make my home an oasis, inside and out
9. Bring my business to a more national presence (The specific business goals are spelled out on my planner.)
10. Spend more time with family in fun places
ETC.

This is the other side of the same board. You will need a half sheet of black foam core, which is usually 15 X 20 inches.I use plain tacks to attach magazine clippings. Michaels Has both. Their framing department will cut the foam core for free. Design and lifestyle magazines will give you plenty of images to clip.

This beautiful, cosmetic renovation transformed a late 90's safari style home into a more welcoming, stunning, functional space. Built for entertaining friends and family, this home update was mostly simple and straightforward. Many improvements made the space more open and practical. Take a look. What do you think?
