I am in the process of refining and composing a selection of tried and true paint color combos for exteriors. Sherwin Williams designer account executives are consulting with me on this. Yay!!
We see so many mistakes when people choose color and upgrades for the exterior of the house. The roof color and paver color, if applicable, are the most important considerations because they are like "fixed finishes" that will not change.
Just like inside, the cooler colors, grays and blues, for instance, need a cool white trim color. That doesn't mean we cannot use a strong red door on a dark gray house. The gray has to have warm undertones. A pink front door works best with the true whites. Terra cotta works with the browner taupes, tans and khakis. Watch for our new color chart, coming soon.
BTW... the cost of the online certification class will be going up soon. I have been told that it is way to rich in content for the low price. Good news for you!!
